Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition
This coming July a team of UEA oceanographers will have an exhibit at the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition (http://royalsociety.org/summer-science/). This exhibit, titled 'A Pinch of Salt', will focus on the role that salt has in driving ocean currents and determining climate both in the UK and worldwide. They will also show off some of their cutting edge research, and there will be fun games, challenges and prizes for all. To see more, check out the blog (http://salt-oceans.tumblr.com/), twitter (https://twitter.com/APinchOfSalt1), and facebook (www.facebook.com/apinchofsalt.sse13). There's even a twitter account for one of the university's Seagliders (https://twitter.com/minkeseaglider); robotic submarines that are currently swimming around in the North Atlantic taking physical, chemical and biological measurements (http://ueaglider.uea.ac.uk/).
The exhibit will be running from the 2-7 July at the Royal Society in London. It is completely free of charge and is open to members of the general public as well as students and teachers, scientists, policymakers and the media. It should be a great event, with stalls covering everything from the Higgs Boson to tissue engineering. Hope to see lots of you there!
