Research Interests
Energy technology and policy, innovation processes and systems, pro-environmental behaviour, behaviour change interventions, decision heuristics and biases.
Biography
My research interests lie at the intersection between innovation, behaviour and policy in the field of energy and climate change mitigation. I joined the Tyndall Centre and UEA in September 2010 from the London School of Economics (LSE). There, I taught courses on technological change and business sustainability. I am currently working as a Lead Author on the Global Energy Assessment (forthcoming in 2011) with colleagues from IIASA, a research institute based outside Vienna. I have a PhD from the University of British Columbia in Canada. This was an inter-disciplinary social scientific investigation of the social and behavioural determinants of energy use. Prior to my PhD, I worked for a number of years in the private sector in both renewable energy finance and climate change policy. I have an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, and a BA in Modern Languages & Natural Sciences from Cambridge.
