Research Interests
- Evaporite and carbonate sedinentology, especially speleothempetrography, anhydrite diagenesis and diagnesis of Quaternary calcareous sands of East Anglia.
- Peak oil and consequences.
Biography
I have had a varied background, working for a government geological survey (Saskatchewan), the oil industry (Canada and USA) and academic (Professor at University of Toronto) before joining UEA in 1989. My research has largely concerned the modelling of evaporitic basins, and the diagnesis of evaporites and calcareous sands. In 2007 Julian Andrews and I hosted the Bathurst Carbonate Meeting.
