Biography
I completed my undergraduate degree in environmental science at UEA before gaining an MSc in GIS at the University of Leicester. I then worked for a consultancy firm in London before taking up a research post back at UEA. I worked on a project investigating environmental influences on cryptosporidiosis in England and Wales.

Key Research Interests
Environmental impacts on human health, specifically on adiposity. Seasonal patterns in health outcomes.
I am undertaking an ESRC/MRC funded PhD looking at the effects of the school environment on child adiposity. My PhD is linked to an NPRI funded project investigating environmental and social influences on physical activity. While the focus of the main study is physical activity in children and adults, my work is looking at child body composition. I am particularly interested in the impact the school environment, including the policy and physical environment of the school and surrounds, has on child adiposity.
