NEW MA Second Language Education course
UEA’s School of Education and Lifelong Learning have launched a new MA programme for those wishing to develop critical understanding about issues in Second Language Education around the world.
This course will help you to understand key theoretical issues and debates related to English as an International Language, policy making, planning, teaching and learning second languages and innovation, both in the international and national arenas.
If you have experience of learning a second language and an interest in second language education, the MA programme will help you to further develop knowledge about current issues and trends in policy development and practice.
Across the one-year, full-time course you will:
Learn with students from around the world and investigate second language education case studies from a variety of countries
Develop knowledge and understanding of international literature
Explore research related to second language policy making, pedagogy, and curriculum development
Learn about examples of best practice which you will critically assess in order to inform the development of practice in your own national context
Research a specific area of second language education that is of interest to your personal learning needs and/or professional development.
