This postgraduate degree is particularly suitable for those wishing to obtain a higher degree by research rather than through a taught programme.

The School welcomes individual applications and have also developed the MA by Research degree programme to support applied research in local education authorities and schools, which are encouraged to sponsor small teams of teachers to undertake action research or evaluation research relevant to their policy concerns. Individuals sponsored by authorities or schools are also accepted.

The registration dates are: October, January, April and July.

  • Official transcripts (in English) of your higher education qualifications.
  • A Personal Statement
  • A CV detailing your work experience to date. 
  • Two academic references.
  • An official copy of your English language results (if relevant)
  • A Research Proposal of 2,000 words 

Fees

Fees for the academic year 2012/2013 will be:

  • Home/EU: £3,828 (full-time), £1,914 (part-time)* 
  • International: £11,800 

* for each year of the course.
