Biography

Dr. Penny Lamb is a Senior Lecturer in Education (Physical Education) and Academic Director for undergraduate and post graduate Physical Education Degree Programmes in the School. She co-ordinates the School's Physical Education Pedagogy Research Group and supervises Doctoral and Masters level research students.  Prior to working at UEA, she taught Physical Education for fifteen years in the State, Independent and Further Education sectors and has been a Head of Department, Physical Education School Mentor and a School Governor.

Key Research Interests

Dr. Penny Lamb's research interests lie in the area of Physical Education Pedagogy, with a particular emphasis on pupil voice in relation to inclusive physical education. She also specialises in Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE). Recent funded projects have included exploring pupil voice on being Gifted & Talented in Physical Education and enhancing reflective abilities in Physical Education trainee teachers. Current work explores the introduction of cheerleading into school physical education, and its impact on pupil participation.
