Biography

Bruce Lyons is Professor of Economics and Deputy Director of the ESRC Centre for Competition Policy (CCP). He is Associate Editor of Economica and a member of: the UK Competition Commission; the Economic Advisory Group for Competition Policy (EAGCP) to the European Commission; and the Scientific Board of the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO). 

His current research is focused on the economic analysis of competition policy; in particular on how the delegated objectives and organization of a competition authority affect remedies, outcomes and economic efficiency.  Since 2001, he has given invited research papers in nine countries, and held visiting research positions at the European University Institute and University of Melbourne.
