Peter Dawson will be presenting work carried out on a project commissioned by the Higher Education Academy to an audience of HE and FE delegates on Friday 19 April in Hatfield.  This event is part of a Higher Education Academy STEM project which is looking at skills in Mathematics and Statistics in a range of HE disciplines. The work is particularly focussed on the transition from secondary education to HE. This event is being held in conjunction with the British Academy.

Business Studies and Economics teachers from across the secondary sector and Business and Economics lecturers from higher education (HE) are invited to join a group of guests for an evening of discussion about the mathematical and statistical skills requirements for the study of Business and Economics in HE. The event provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the national debate in this area. The discussions will be recorded and the findings will be included in a report which the Higher Education Academy will publish and make available on its website.
