We are pleased to announce that Professor Daniel Zizzo has been appointed as Secretary to the Conference of Heads of University Departments of Economics (CHUDE).  He formally assumed this role on Saturday 2nd March at the Steering Committee, along with Professor Eric Pentecost (University of Loughborough) who was appointed as the new Chair.

The Conference of Heads of University Departments of Economics (CHUDE) was set up by the Royal Economic Society in 1987 in collaboration with the Association of University Teachers of Economics. The purpose is to promote the study and teaching of economics in the United Kingdom. The Conference comprises the Heads of Economics and related departments and units at universities in the United Kingdom. The conference meets twice a year in May and November and a standing committee acts on behalf of the conference between the main meetings.
