We are pleased to announce the winners of the ECO Student Video and Essay Competitions.
The results of the competition are:
These essays will all appear in the forthcoming "Norwich Economic Papers" along with those essays submitted by Michael Brock,Richard Ayre, Adeel Saleem, Ben Angus, Alex Karakostas and Fabio Galeotti.

- The best Video Clip - Shane King and Josh Clift (£1500 prize).
- The best Postgraduate Essay - Sunil Kumar "Economic Theory and the promise of Behavioural Approaches" (£1000 prize).
- The best Third Year Essay - Shane King "Should Competition Policy be relaxed during the current financial crisis?" (£1000).
- The best Second Year Essay - Jonathan Shortman "What are Hedge Funds? How competitive are they? Do you think they are a help or a hindrance in driving the economy out of the recession?" (£1000).
- The best First Year Essay - joint winners - Emma Garrett "How US President Barack Obama can use the promise of behavioural economics to change the United States of America" (£1000) and
- Alexander Haines "Is a monetary incentive enough to change the behaviour of people when tackling society's problems of smoking and alcohol addition, obesity and lack of blood donations?" (£1000).
