A new independent world ranking of universities, conducted by Jiao Tong University has put the University of East Anglia in the 8th position among UK universities for economics/business.  The ranking is based on a number of research indicators, and places UEA among the top 100 universities in the world for its research performance.  Professor Daniel Zizzo, Head of the School of Economics, has commented: "This ranking is one more proof that we are solidly among the top 10 UK institutions for our research performance in Economics.  It comes soon after the Center for Higher Education ranking, which led to the same conclusion.  This is very pleasing to us and a confirmation that our strategy of engaging in high quality research informing our teaching is a winning one".
