Funding and Scholarships

There are a number of UEA scholarships and awards that postgraduate applicants who are not receiving full funding from external sources may be eligible for:

International Scholarships
We offer International Scholarships to well qualified applicants. These are typically £1,000 per year. Applicants who are offered £1,000, and who receive an offer by 30 April 2012, will also be considered for a larger scholarship equal to 50% of international fees (ie over £4,000).

The UEA International Office also offers bursaries to postgraduate taught students.

The Damien Devine Scholarships
For 2012/13, the University will award up to three scholarships, known as The Damien Devine Scholarships, to students who apply for the MSc Finance and Economics. The Scholarship will cover the UK/EU tuition fee rate and may only be used towards payment of tuition fees. International students are welcome to apply but must be able to pay the difference between UK/EU fees and international fees. All applicants will be considered for the award. No separate application is necessary. Selection for the award will be based on academic excellence and content of the personal statement. The deadline for the scholarship application is 31 May 2012.

The scholarship cannot be cumulated with other UEA scholarships.

Experimental Economics Scholarship
In recognition of the School’s research excellence in and commitment to Experimental Economics, we offer a scholarship equal to full UK/EU fees to a student taking the MSc Experimental Economics. We especially welcome applications from those intending to pursue an academic career.

Any applicant (whether UK/EU or international) who has received an offer on the MSc Experimental Economics by 31st March 2012, will be considered for this scholarship. No separate application is necessary.

The scholarship cannot be cumulated with other UEA or Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) scholarships. If you are applying for the MSc Experimental Economics but do not get this scholarship, you will still be eligible for a School Focus Scholarship (see details below).

Industrial Economics Scholarship
In recognition of the Centre for Competition Policy and the School’s commitment to Industrial Economics, we offer a scholarship equal to full UK/EU fees to a student taking the MSc Industrial Economics. We especially welcome applications from those intending to pursue an academic career.

Any applicant (whether UK/EU or international) who has received an offer on the MSc Industrial Economics by 31st March 2012, will be considered for this scholarship. No separate application is necessary.
