Biography
I am a Senior Lecturer in Economics in the School of Economics at UEA. I obtained my Ph.D. from the University of Essex.
I am a member of the centre for Behavioural and Experimental Social Science at UEA and affiliate researcher at the Centre for Experimental Economics, at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
I have been awarded a Leverhulme Trust Research Grant for the project, "Understanding Unstructured Bargaining Situations". The project begins on 1 April 2011 and runs for 18 months.
I have been working on an ESRC sponsored research project, "Understanding Focal Points in Bargaining Situations", (grant RES-000-22-3322), on which I am Principal Investigator and my colleague Bob Sugden is Co-Investigator. This project is expected to produce three papers.
I have been awarded a British Academy Small Research Grant for the project "Focality and Complexity in Bargaining Situations". The project runs until March 2012.
My personal home page, with downloadable publications and working papers, is available here.

Key Research Interests
My general research interests are game theory, experimental economics and behavioural economics. I use game-theoretic and experimental research methods to analyze bargaining and co-ordination situations, strategic moves, focal points, and monetary reward systems and incentives. See my personal web page for more details.
