Process

Completion of an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is an essential component to enable you to complete any practical elements of your course. Any student who fails to complete the process may affect their ability to commence/continue on their course.

The process we use is detailed below:

You will be sent an email which contains an individual user name and password to enable you to complete your DBS check online at https://uea.disclosures.co.uk. You also need to complete a DBS3 Form which can be downloaded by Clicking Here.

Once completed your form will be printed by us and then needs to be signed by you at the same time as you providing us with your original identity documents. Normally a Drop In Session is arranged on a specific date and time to support this process.

Your form will be countersigned by us and sent to the DBS where they will process your form. Your Enhanced DBS Disclosure will be sent to you along with a copy to us. You must retain your copy in a safe place.

If you are unable to attend any arranged Drop In Session, your completed DBS form can be posted to you on request, however, you will need to use the Post Office Document Certification Service to have your identity documents certified. There is a charge for this service and further detail can be found by Clicking Here.
