As part of completing an Enhanced DBS Disclosure we need to establish your idenity and there are strict requirements about the types of documents we can accept. Below you will find the documents you may present to us and which group they fall.

Group 1 – Primary Trusted Identity Credentials

Current Valid Passport (Any Country)
Current Driving Licence (UK) – Full or Provisional - (Paper Counterpart and Plastic Card)
Birth Certificate (UK and Channel Islands) – (Issued at the time of birth)
Biometric Residence Permit (UK)

Group 2a – Trusted Government/State Issued Documents

Current Driving Licence (UK) – (Old Style Paper Version)
Current Non-UK Photo Driving Licence (valid for up to 12 months after entering the UK)
Birth Certificate (UK and Channel Islands) – (Issued after the time of birth)
Marriage/Civil Partnership Certificate (UK and Channel Islands)
Adoption Certificate (UK and Channel Islands)
HM Forces ID Card (UK)
UK Firearms Licence (UK and Channel Islands)

Group 2b – Financial/Social History Documents

Mortgage Statement (UK or EEA)#
Bank/Building Society Statement (UK or EEA)*
Bank/Building Society Account Opening Letter (UK)*
Credit Card Statement (UK or EEA)*
Financial Statement (UK) (e.g. Pension, Endowment, ISA)#
P45/P60 Statement (UK and Channel Islands)#
Council Tax Statement (UK and Channel Islands)#
Work Permit/Visa (UK) (UK Residence Permit)#
Utility Bill (UK) (Not Mobile Telephone)*
