CBA/DFID Broadcast Media Scheme

The scheme adminsters two funding routes; Both aim to improve and increase development awareness in the UK via the mainsteam broadcast media.

Programme Development Fund: This was established to improve and expand coverage of the developing world and development issues on UK mainstream TV.

The aim is to fund UK based television producers/programme makers to research and develop programme ideas made in and about the developing world. Programmes may be of any genre and innovation is encouraged.

Travel Bursary Fund: This fund enables television producers and multi-media journalists to extend their knowledge and understanding of the developing world by spending up to three months in a Commonwealth developing country or countries while researching and devloping programme ideas. The aim of this fund is to increase and improve the quality and quantity of output about the developing world on UK TV.

The staff of CBA Norwich Branch: Fund Executive Sally Ann-Wilson and Production Managers Marion Simpson and Linda Hutchings

Marion and Linda also run and continually update the Video Library.  This can be accessed through the intranet and is open Mons and Thurs 9-2.30pm and Fri 9-3.30pm.
