New to UEA
- Staff Services are available to all UEA staff.
- UEA Campus has many Facilities including the Library, IT and Computing, a Nursery and Sportspark; and much more.
- All new staff are invited to attend an Introductory Conference, ideally within three months of starting, provided by the Centre for Staff and Educational Development (CSED).
- Go to the UEA Events Diary to find out what's happening on Campus now.
- The Staff Association is a good place to start if you would like to get to know more people socially.
New to Norwich
- Welcome to Norwich, 'A Fine City'. The city maintains the best of its historical character as well as being among the most vibrant and attractive cities in Europe. It is ranked in the Top 10 shopping cities in the UK, as well as being a hotbed for the arts, culture, music, nightlife and tourism.
New to the UK
- If you are an international staff member moving to a UK university for the first time go to International Staff for advice on working in UK Higher Education and living in the UK. This site, developed by the University of Leeds, includes guidance for staff coming to teach; support in personal and professional development; a database covering all aspects of teaching, learning and research in the UK; and an interactive international staff forum.
- Alternatively, you may like to try UEA's International Student Advisory Service, which deals with hundreds of queries a year, many of them relating to immigration and life in the UK. They produce a selection of information guides (eg. 'Opening a UK Bank Account' or 'Guide to Culture Shock').
