Your Faculty has appointed a Research Staff Coordinator (RSC), who is there to provide information and advice on the support available to you at a local (subject specific) and university level.
UEA has a Code for Research Staff which "provides a set of principles and aspirations for the employment and treatment of research staff at UEA.”
UEA's Codes are informed by National and European Policies relating to the training and development of Research Staff, specifically the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers.
UEA has developed it's own Concordat Implementation Plan outlining how the University supports the personal, professional and career development of its research staff, in accordance with the Concordats' principles.
UEA is a member of the Athena SWAN Charter, which recognises, celebrates and disseminates good employment practice for women working in STEMM subjects (science, engineering, technology, mathematics and medicine) in higher education and research. UEA has a Bronze Award at an Institutional level and is now working towards the Silver award in some Schools.
The University's Research and Enterprise Services (REN) supports the life cycle of research and enterprise activity. There are REN project officers and other staff supporting the different Schools and Faculties.
