The University of East Anglia offers part-time degree programmes in a number of subject areas.
Part-time degrees offer students a more flexible approach to learning, allowing students with outside commitments to complete their studies over a longer period of time. For undergraduate degrees, this is typically 5–7 years. All applications are judged on their own individual merits, in the same way as applications for full-time degree programmes. Your application for a part-time degree should be made directly to the School of Study and not through the UCAS system. Part-time certificate and diploma programmes
We also offers a range of part-time modular certificate and diploma courses open to anyone with an interest in or experience of the subjects. Courses cover Professional Development eg Counselling Skills, the Arts eg Creative Writing, the Humanities eg Archaeology and Science eg Ecology and Landscape. Courses are part-time over one or two years and are taught in the evenings or daytime in weekly two- to three-hour sessions with weekend study days and combine academic study with practical learning. Courses are also available online including creative writing and study skills.
Fd progression routes
The following FdA/FdSc progression routes are available: BA (Hons) Professional Studies, BSc (Hons) Physical Education and Sports Development. The Professional Studies Bridging Programme provides a progression route onto the BA for those with an HND.
Part-time Postgraduate Certificate in Continuing Professional Development
Masters level modules are available in a number of subjects including: Effective Workplace Communication, Prose Fiction, Poetry, Archaeological Practice, Family History and Genealogy, Outdoor Learning.
Admissions policy for certificate and diploma courses
We operate a flexible admissions policy for students with no formal qualifications or recent experience of study, and provides advice and guidance about the programme and study skills support.
