Overview
The purpose of this module is to equip health care professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to base their professional practice on current, best available evidence. The skills to be developed include being able to 1: frame questions relevant to the student's practice, 2: search for best evidence, 3: rapidly screening and appraising the literature for validity and applicability to their professional practice, 4: apply the evidence to their professional practice. In this module, the main focus will be on evidence related to diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. Other aspects such as economic analysis, guidelines and implementation will be included to a lesser extent.
