General Information

Student Counselling in UK Universities is an excellent resource for students and their families. It includes help sheets and booklets and links to other sources of help covering a wide range of personal, health and academic issues, offering information and/or practical advice on coping with difficulties and problems.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

Mental Wealth UK is a student organisation committed to promoting positive wellbeing on University campuses.

MIND
has a wide range of leaflets and booklets which can be accessed online. These include How to cope with the Stress of Student Life.

NHS Heron Health Information Service provides information about local health services.
 

PAPYRUS is a voluntary UK organisation committed to the prevention of young suicide and the promotion of mental health and emotional wellbeing. They have a number of leaflets and resources available to download.

Rethink provides information and support to help everyone affected by severe mental illness recover a better quality of life.

The Royal College of Psychiatrists provides reader friendly information about mental health problems

Students Against Depression  provides information about coping with depression; what it is, when and how to get help.

Vitae  supports the personal, professional and career development of researchers.

Staff

The College and University Support Network is a national charity set up to support all adult, further and higher education staff and their families. They offer online coaching, a support line as well as information on personal and workplace issues. 

RaPSS (Responses and Prevetion in Student Suicide) Study has published a report on student suicide including a number of recommendations to HEIs.
