Information for new and current students

Welcome to the Centre for Continuing Education!

As a student here, you have access to many support services and resources.  Below are some useful links and contact details.

After your course starts, administrative support is provided by the Elizabeth Fry Learning and Teaching Hub.  This should be your first port of call if you have any difficulties: if they cannot help you, they will be able to direct you to the appropriate department.  If you decide to withdraw from your course, it is very important that you contact them and let them know.

Telephone: 01603 597578

Email: cce_efb.hub@uea.ac.uk

Travel to campus, parking etc:

Information on travel to and from campus is available at http://www.uea.ac.uk/about/gettinghere.

Information on car parking is available at http://www.uea.ac.uk/estates/transport/carparkingarrangements.

If these do not answer your questions, you can contact the transport lodge at transport@uea.ac.uk.

The Continuing Education Student Handbook includes sections on the structure of the university, rules and regulations, assessment criteria, academic referencing, and what to do if you want to make an appeal or complaint.

1. Please ensure that cookies are enabled in your web browser.

2.  If this doesn’t work, try changing your UEA password via http://www.uea.ac.uk/password.

3. If this doesn't work, please wait a day and then try again (sometimes the problem is with UEA systems, but these are usually fixed within 24 hours).

4. If you still can't log in (or for any other IT problems), please contact the IT helpdesk (do have your UEA username to hand if possible):

They are often very busy, so if you don't like your call being held in a queue, it is better to send an email if you can. You will need your username (something like abc12def), or if you don't have this, your student number.

For those of you with access to the library (not online students), you may wish to contact them about your library account (fines, renewals etc):

lib.helpdesk@uea.ac.uk

Details of the library's opening hours and a link to the library catalogue/Broadsearch is available through their web pages: www.uea.ac.uk/is.

If you do not have a campus card, you can use the library as a visitor (you won't be able to take books out though).  Please telephone them in advance to check which forms of ID you will need to bring with you.

Contact our Finance department to make payments, discuss payment of your fees, etc (you will need your student number):

To arrange to pay fees in instalments, or if you are having difficulty meeting the cost of the course, please contact our Debtors office:

+44 (0)1603 593781
