The University of East Anglia is world-renowned for its Creative Writing courses. The Centre for Continuing Education offers students of all backgrounds and levels of experience the chance to benefit from the expertise of our experienced tutors, many of whom are published authors.
Creative Writing at Level 1 and 2 (online courses)
Anyone can apply for our level 1 Writing Prose Fiction (Online) or Writing Poetry (online) courses.
The level 2 Writing 'More' Prose Fiction (online) course is also open to all, although it is recommended students have previously studied at level 1.
Creative Writing at Level 3 (Advanced) - campus-based courses at UEA in Norwich
Study Creative Writing at a higher level on our level 3 Diploma in Creative Writing, our popular year-long part-time course - an opportunity to immerse yourself in your writing. The course covers both poetry and prose; students graduating from the Diploma courses have secured places on Masters programmes which include MA Creative Writing at UEA and MA Writing the Visual at Norwich School of Art and Design.
Creative Writing at Masters Level
The Centre for Continuing Education at UEA is offering Creative Writing students the chance to study part-time at Post-Graduate level through our Constructing a Novel Workshop. This course carries 30 credits at Masters level and offers students an opportunity to develop more advanced subject-specific insights and skills, and the possibility of progressing to a full Masters degree, here at UEA or elsewhere.
Our teaching team are all experienced tutors and practising writers. Many are prize-winning and published authors.
