The course is a combination of the Introduction to SPSS and Intermediate statistics using SPSS courses, run over five days. It is possible to take the entire course, the introduction part only or the intermediate part only.

The course also contains aspects that are not taught on either of the other courses alone. Participants may take the whole course, just the introductory part, or just the intermediate part.

Target Audience

The course is suitable for anybody wanting to develop a knowledge of statistical data analysis using SPSS. The course assumes a basic familiarity with Windows applications, but no prior knowledge of statistics.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, you will have:

  • An introduction to the most important methods of statistical data analysis
  • Experience of their use in practice
  • Practical knowledge of the SPSS

The course consists of five full days, with lectures on statistical topics and practical laboratory classes, using SPSS and suitable examples to illustrate the techniques introduced in the lectures.

Course Structure

The first two days follow the structure of Introduction to SPSS and the next three days follow the structure of Intermediate statistics using SPSS.
