Welcome to the School of Computing Sciences EVENTS page. To help provide an active research environment, the school organises numerous types of scientific events on a national and international level.

For example its track record with regards to organising international meetings includes IDEAL 2011 conference and Phylogenetic Diversity from Combinatorics to Conservation (2006) as well as the Midsummer Phylogenetics at UEA 2011 and Spring Phylogenetics at UEA 2012 workshops. In addition, it has capitalised on its geographical closeness to the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI), by hosting events aimed at familiarising postgraduate students with the latest state of the art research tools in computational biology, such as the EBI Roadshow (March 2011).

The School also runs an active seminar series with both external and internal speakers. Also, there are a number of more focused seminar series associated with the research laboratories. On an annual basis, PhD students are actively encouraged to present their work in the form of CMP Postgraduate Research Day.
