In addition to developing fundamental theory and methods,  we are  excited by statistical problems in other  fields such as as climatology, geophysics, astronomy and insurance. We have   strong  interdisciplinary links with other departments and areas of study, particularly mathematics, computer science and biology, and we  like to recruit graduate students who can help to  maintain our research links.

In addition to these academic links we also have strong ties  with  AVIVA and   offer   statistical advice both to academics and to industry- if you have an interesting problem contact G.Janacek@uea.ac.uk.
