Biography

Dr Dan Smith is Lecturer in Computing Sciences at the UEA, Norwich.

He has authored over 40 papers; he is a member of the British Computing Society, the IEEE Computer Society and the Association for Computing Machinery.

Career

Dan worked as an archaeologist and conservation projects manager, he also worked as a freelance programmer and consultant before joining UEA.

 

Academic Background

He obtained a BA (Nottm) in Geography and for his Ph.D. he investigated the representation and manipulation of spatial and temporal data in database systems.
