Yemen academics visit CIPP

Academics from Aden Medical School interested in Interprofessional Learning (IPL)

CIPP welcomes visitors from Yemen

Early in 2011, the Norwich Medical School hosted a visit by academics from Aden Medical School.

Dr Anisa Abood, Dr Mohammed Shamsan, Dr Nazeeh Bahumaid and Dr Faozia BaShaaib, accompanied by Katherine Miles, arrived in Norwich at the end of February for their week-long stay.

The main purpose of their visit was to observe consultation skills teaching at UEA. In addition, however, the visitors were keen to find out more about Interprofessional Learning (IPL).

On their return to Yemen, the visitors commented: “Thank you very much for everyone at CIPP taking the time to talk with [us].  We really enjoyed meeting everyone and hearing about the Centre and your experiences.  The Yemeni doctors greatly benefitted from their visit to UEA and are keen to put all that they have learnt into practice.”
