UEA professor takes leading role in chemistry higher education

Prof Simon Lancaster has been elected Chair of the Tertiary Education Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry. On Thursday evening at the Annual General Meeting of the section of chemist's professional society that represents higher education teachers, our very own Professor of Chemical Education was chosen to chair the group. Simon stood on a platform of increasingly outward looking chemistry education incorporating, internationalisation, entrepreneurship and collaboration with students. "I am honoured to have been selected by my peers to build on the work of my predecessor and help lead the positive changes in Higher Education that chemistry is doing so much to pioneer." said Prof Lancaster at the conference dinner.
