Greetings from the Anglican Chaplain at UEA, the Revd. Darren Thornton.
Offering friendship and support
Listening to your concerns
Helping to meet your spiritual and religious needs
At the heart of the campus, the Chaplaincy provides a vibrant space for all members of the University community. You can come here to relax, enjoy light refreshments, or spend time in public worship or quiet thought. It’s a popular gathering place that welcomes students and staff of any or no faith.
The Chaplaincy team are always glad to meet students and staff socially and pastorally. As a valued part of the University’s welfare network, the chaplains offer everyone a sympathetic ear in total confidence.
Revd. Darren can be contacted by telephone, email or by calling in to the Chaplaincy centre in the centre of the campus. Do make yourself known to me when you see me around the campus.

A Prayer for our University
(written by the Very Revd. Alan Webster, Dean of Norwich 1970-1978)

Sweet Spirit of Wisdom
Be with our University
And all it members
As they come and go
Grant learning, vision, imagination,
Justice, joy,
Compassion and steadfastness.
Pour upon it
The wealth of your grace
And the inspiration
Of your truth.
Amen
