Miranda Stewart is currently working for the Hellenic American University, Athens.
Her research interests include interactional pragmatics with work on pronominal usage in French and Spanish; politeness in workplace interaction; negotiation of face in dialogue interpreting (with I. Mason). She has also published on the sociolinguistics of Spanish (The Spanish Language Today) and has co-edited volumes with L. Hickey (Politeness in Europe) and C. Mar-Molinero (Globalization and Language in the Spanish-speaking World).She is currently working on a volume for St Jerome provisionally entitled ‘The negotiation of identities in discourse’.
