Michel Marcoccia is Assistant Professor in Communication Studies at the Troyes University of Technology (France) and researcher in the Tech-CICO Laboratory (Technology for Cooperation, Interaction and Knowledge in Collectives).

He has published several papers (in the field of conversation analysis) about different aspects of computer-mediated communication: politeness principles in CMC, on-line diasporas, on-line social support, CMC and speech communities, etc.
