  • The situation regarding EU funding changes all the time. Take a look at the EC website for more information.
  • The Arts Council book Who Does What in Europe provides a useful description of the scope of European sources of finance.
  • The Association of Commonwealth Universities website contains information and lists of scholarships and courses.
  • It is even more difficult to raise money to study overseas than to study in the UK. If you are aiming for the USA you must use the Fulbright Commission website.
  • UNESCO’s Study Abroad website has information on courses, scholarships and financial assistance in over 120 countries worldwide.
  • International Education: this is a free guide to study abroad information, advice and opportunities for students worldwide who are considering studying overseas. It includes university advice, college search facilities, student profiles and articles from the leading journals on international education.
  • Directory of Social Change contains details of awards for international students to study in the UK.
  • Overseas Development Institute
  • Entente Cordiale scholarships are awarded to outstanding UK and French postgraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral students (all degree disciplines) to study or carry out research for an academic year on the other side of the Channel.
