Writing and communication is a fiercely competitive sector. All the same, many graduates are well equipped to enter this field. However, unlike some sectors, employers in this sector don't tend to court graduates as potential employees. The onus is on students to actively seek employment and attract employers to their particular skills and experience.
Therefore, it's simply not practicable for us to arrange a traditional fair with plentiful numbers of employers keen to offer places to students. Nevertheless, we recognise that our students have an excellent track record within writing and communication. This is therefore an information event designed to provide students with the necessary background and contacts to make the most of their academic training and talents.
