As an employer looking to work with the University, we can offer you a wide range of services from helping you to employ our graduates and students, support an event, challenge or competition or deliver a talk directly to students.
Mentoring
Mentoring is a great way to connect with UEA students. It is an opportunity to help prepare students for their future careers and the world of work. The Mentoring commitments can range from a one-off 30 minute information interview with a student (by telephone or e-mail) to six hours of one-to-one mentoring over six months. To discuss the programme further contact us at: 01603 597637 or careermentors@uea.ac.uk or visit our website to find out more.UEA Volunteers
If your organisation is a charity or from the third sector, the chances are you've already had a volunteer from our award-winning UEA Volunteers service. If you're an employer looking to recruit motivated, experienced graduates whilst boosting your CSR, you could collaborate with us on a volunteering challenge.
Careers Fairs & events
Book a stand at one of our Careers Fairs to meet students and graduates from all disciplines and study years, including postgraduates, to personally promote your organisation and opportunities. Sponsoring one of our main fairs will get your logo published on publicity materials posted around campus, and your weblinks included on the Careers & Employability website. You will also have a full page advert in the event programme distributed to all fair attendees on the day. We are also happy to discuss any other suggestions you may have. If you would like to discuss any of this in more detail, please contact Ros Dixon, Events Assistant.Presentations and workshops
We welcome employers to deliver skills workshops to students, such as leadership skills and networking skills. This is an excellent way to meet and communicate with students informally, to promote your own organisation and line of work, and for students to gain insight into, and learn about, the workplace skills sought by employers. We will not charge you for running skills workshops. To discuss your ideas please contact Ros Dixon.Presentations are an effective way of speaking to a large number of students and promoting your organisation and the roles within it. We can provide the publicity and facilities for giving talks and presentations, including setting up a booking system and email reminders.
