Laboratories & Testing

 

The following laboratories are available on a commercial basis but a wide range of other facilities are available to organisations entering into sponsored research.

  • Analytical Laboratories and Testing (Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Science) - We offer a fully managed service to provide you with access to a wide range of equipment. Our trained staff can process your samples quickly and confidentially, providing you with raw data and written report, statistical analysis and interpretation. We can also provide fast quotes for tenders. Please contact Sue Johnson for further details and costs for your project.

  • Cell Imaging - Our imaging laboratory contains eight fluorescence microscopes that provide excellent images

  • Clinical Research Trials Unit  - This NHS facility comprises a suite of consulting rooms on the University campus and a six-bedded ward in the adjacent Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital 
     
  • Fermentation Suite - the University's Bacterial Growth and Downstream Processing Unit

  • Flow Cytometry Service - provides consultancy or direct, bespoke flow cytometric analyses of samples derived from small, medium and large scale enterprises based in the East of England, and beyond.

  • Laboratories - Containment Levels 1, 2 and 3

  • Teaching Laboratories - Our recently refurbished state-of-art teaching laboratories can cater for large groups of students and we offer real hands on experiences in biology, chemistry and environmental science.

  • X-ray Crystallography
