The UEA Bicycle User Group is an information resource for cyclists and would-be cyclists at UEA. We also try to further the cause of cyclists both on campus and on the routes around it. There is a mailing list for announcements and we hope to have a discussion forum of some sort soon.
Our information is organised into four sections:
About UEA BUG
Our aims; current cycling issues at UEA; our mailing list.
Cycling at UEA
Routes to UEA; campus cycle parking; UEA-specific information.
Cycling in Norwich and Norfolk
Local cycling information; bike shops; leisure cycling; cycling groups.
General cycling information
Why not cycle? And other miscellaneous useful links and information.
Be seen, be safe!
The start of term unfortunately coincides with the onset of winter gloom, and there are always cyclists who put themselves and others at risk by not making
themselves visible enough in the winter gloom and darkness. The Police do issue fixed penalty notices to cyclists without lights, particularly in the University area, but some of those who are caught
complain that they were not aware of the law. So, a reminder:
It is illegal (and dangerous) to cycle without lights when it's dark!

and Buy-Cycle (fully guaranteed second-hand bike with a buy-back guarantee).
