Changes to Portal access

From Tuesday 9th April the way you are authenticated when you log in to the Portal will change.

If you are off-campus, or accessing the Portal using your own device

You will see a new login screen prompt:
New Portal Login Screen

Just log in in the usual way.
The way the login screen expands to display your site verification image and phrase is part of the new enhanced authentication functionality and is perfectly normal:

Verification

If you have not yet entered your site verification data in SPOT, then you will see this expansion instead:

Verification Enter Details

You don't have to complete these details right away, but your are advised to do so as soon as possible, as it is an important part of UEA's attempts to combat phishing.

If you are on a campus PC and using IE or Chrome

You will not see the login screen and you will be automatically logged in as usual.

If you have any queries about this change, or if you cannot login to the Portal as you would expect to on or after Tuesday 9th April, please contact the IT Helpdesk
