Information for students

Blackboard is UEA's online learning environment on which you may find resources for your course or module, and interactive tools such as discussion boards, wikis and online tests.

Getting started

To access Blackboard, select the Academic tab on the Portal. The website address for the portal is When using a PC on campus you will be automatically logged in, when connecting to the portal off campus you will be prompted for your UEA username and password.

The My Modules section contains a list of modules which you have access to. Click on the name of a module to access it.

A "Get Started using Blackboard" guide has been produced to give a brief introduction on how to access and navigate your modules.


For information about material on Blackboard sites (e.g. lecture notes),you should talk to your lecturer as schools are responsible for their own materials.

Student training is provided by, and at the discretion of, the school or faculty normally in the form of a short induction session.
