BIO Research Colloquium – Friday 11th July
The School of Biological Sciences will hold its annual Colloquium on Friday, July 11 at the Thomas Paine Study Centre, where researchers will present their latest work to colleagues and invited guests.
The day will showcase the broad range of multidisciplinary research undertaken in the School and the associated Biomedical Research Centre over the last year, giving an insight into what the future holds. The talks by senior staff of the Schools of Biological Sciences in combination with poster presentations by the next generation of researchers will make cutting edge research accessible to a varied audience.
Our invited guest speaker this year is Professor Michael Muller. He is the Director of the Norwich Research Park Food and Health Alliance and a Professor of Nutrigenomics and Systems Nutrition. He is a renowned expert in the area of molecular nutrition related to lipid homeostasis, nutrigenomics and nutritional systems biology. His lecture entitled “Nutrigenomics to Systems Nutrition - Elucidating the role of nutrition in metabolic plasticity and health” will give an exciting overview of his work.
The event will be held in the Thomas Paine Study Centre followed by a social get-together with drinks and nibbles in the Atrium of the Biomedical Research Centre.
Everyone is welcome.
