UK and EU students
There are four BBSRC studentships available for UK and EU students. Please state on your application form if you wish to be considered for one of these awards; studentships are awarded according to academic excellence.

International students
Contact the British Council (http://www.britcoun.org) for local funding opportunities such as Chevening Scholarships (http://www.britcoun.org/chevening/index.htm) and British Council Scholarships. Also try the Ministry of Education in your own country where information on funding from organisations such as UNESCO can be found. Your own government, employer or industrial/commercial sponsors can also be sources of funding.
The Commonwealth Office offers awards for postgraduate study for candidates in Commonwealth countries or British Overseas Territories. Scholarships are usually advertised by the Ministry of Education in your own country. Applications are made to the Commonwealth Scholarship Agency. International students should contact the UEA International Office for country-specific funding advice (intl.office@uea.ac.uk).

Partial Scholarships
A number of scholarships worth up to 50% of the tuition fees are available for excellently qualified international (non EU) students. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and all successful applicants will automatically be considered.
UEA/Fulbright Scholarship
US candidates can apply for a scholarship offered jointly by UEA and the Fulbright Commission. One scholarship is available.
