UEA has just been ranked 3rd in the UK (and 24th globally) for the impact of its work in the areas of Environment and Ecology (including fields such as biodiversity, plant sciences, fishery studies and zoology).
Congratulations to all those researchers in BIO that have contributed to this success!
These rankings are based on the number of times papers are cited by other researchers, therefore revealing work that is the most influential, not mere volume of output.
Data extracted from the Essential Science Indicators database of Thomson Reuter and Published in Times Higher Education.
And another analysis of publications in Ecology from 1996-2007 has ranked BIO’s Prof. Godfrey Hewitt as number 3 in the world’s most cited authors. Read more here.
