The CMSB are delighted to welcome back former member Clive Butler to UEA to give a seminar on his recent work on selenium reducing enzymes. Clive, who is originally from Norwich, did his PhD with Jeremy Mason at King’s College London on the benzene dioxygenase from Pseudomonas putida before coming to UEA as a postdoc in 1995 where he worked on a range of metalloproteins, originally with the late Colin Greenwood and subsequently with David J. Richardson. In 2000 he moved to a lectureship at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, before taking his current position as Senior Lecturer at the University of Exeter in 2006.
