This meeting which is sponsored by GE Healthcare will take place on Friday 19th March and as well as four excellent local speakers (please see the attached programme) we are fortunate to have contributions from two distinguished guests.
Professor Jim Barber FRS is the Ernst Chain Professor of Biochemistry at Imperial College, London and well known for his work on photosynthesis. He is a graduate of the Biophysics MSc programme that ran in the early years of BIO where he was a contemporary of the late George Duncan and this summer he will receive an honorary degree from UEA at the joint BIO/CHE congregation.
Professor Carol Robinson FRS is Royal Society Research Professor & Dr Lee's Professor of Chemistry Physical & Theoretical Chemistry at the University of Oxford and well known for her application of mass spectrometry to the study of protein complexes. In 2004 Professor Robinson was the recipient Royal Society’s Rosalind Franklin Award.
