The UEA Honours Degrees in Biochemistry received official recognition from the Royal Society of Chemistry this month. The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is the largest UK Professional Body for chemical scientists and the largest organisation in Europe for advancing the chemical sciences.
By recognising UEA’s Biochemistry Honours Degrees in this way the RSC has confirmed that our Biochemistry graduates are equipped with a knowledge of chemistry and professionalism in the workplace that satisfies the academic requirements to become an Associate Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (AMRSC). This recognition reflects UEA’s commitment to excellence in the teaching of Biochemistry. Our innovative and engaging courses are delivered jointly by the School of Biological Sciences and the School of Chemistry. This teaching strategy enriches our students’ experience by ensuring engagement with internationally recognised experts in the areas of biochemistry, chemistry and biological sciences.
