Biography
Kaeten Mistry is a Leverhulme Research Fellow and will take up a lectureship in the School in 2012. His research interests broadly lie in the history of American foreign relations and the projection of US power, with particular attention to the international history of the Cold War in Europe and intelligence. His work on US-Italian relations and American political warfare in the early Cold War has appeared in journals such as Cold War History and Diplomatic History. He has also edited a special collection of Intelligence and National Security on US foreign relations and the CIA, based on a new project that examines the conceptualisation, framing, and narratives of covert action. Prior to coming to UEA, Kaeten held faculty positions at Warwick and University College Dublin, a visiting fellowship at Bologna, and studied at UCLA and Padova. He is an Associate of the LSE IDEAS Cold War Studies Programme.
