Key Research Interests

My research interests relate both to my previous clinical speciality of cardiovascular respiratory physiotherapy and my current work within education. I have been part a project to develop a competency assessment and education tool for physiotherapists working on-call.  My main research interests are the experiences of clients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease undertaking pulmonary rehabilitation and randomised controlled trials investigating physiotherapy interventions.  Previously my research has focused on critical care, undertaking studies into the use of closed-suction in intensive care.
