Accommodation information for new INTO students arriving at UEA.
The INTO Language Centre located on campus has a close link with UEA and many INTO students choose to continue their education on one of UEA's undergraduate or postgraduate courses.
Usually students who are studying with INTO live in the purpose-built INTO centre, however occasionally they may choose to live in UEA residences during their INTO course.
If you are currently living in the INTO centre (or outside in a private house) and want to apply for UEA accommodation when you start your UEA degree course, please select which type of student you will be at UEA for more information:
I am going to be a UEA Undergraduate student when I complete my INTO course.
I am going to be a UEA Postgraduate student when I complete my INTO course.
If you would like some help completing the Accommodation Application form there is a helpsheet to guide you through the process here.
INTO Pre-sessional Courses
If you are going to be studying an INTO pre-sessional course but want to live in UEA accommodation (not the INTO centre) please scroll to your INTO course length below for more information.
Course Length - 16 Weeks (28th May)
We regret that unfortunately we are unable to offer UEA Accommodation to any INTO students starting their programme on the 28th May. Any students coming on the 16 week study course will need to apply for their accommodation directly to INTO and not through UEA.
Course Length - 12 Weeks (25th June)
Please note that if you want to live in UEA accommodation for your INTO pre-sessional course you must be continuing to a UEA course in September.
If you are coming to study a 12 week pre-sessional course with INTO and want to live in UEA accommodation for your INTO course then you need write on your INTO application form that you want to live in UEA residences. You will have three choices on that form - UEA En-suite, UEA Village, or UEA Standard.
INTO will then let us know what choices you have picked and we will try and allocate you into the room type of your choice where possible. Once we have allocated you a room we will e-mail you to confirm the booking before you arrive for your course.
If you are intending to stay in UEA accommodation for your UEA course (from September) as well, it will be useful if you have also filled in the UEA Accommodation application form. This is available online now. If you complete an INTO form and a UEA form we will give priority to the choices you have made on your UEA form (if they are different from those on your INTO form).
We will always try to allocate you in a room that you can stay in for your INTO course and for your UEA course.
Don't worry if you have not completed a UEA form before you arrive. We will allocate you a room based on the choices on your INTO form alone. Once you have arrived we will be holding some help sessions to show everyone how to complete the UEA form and to make sure you get it finished before the deadline! You will receive more information about these sessions once you arrive.
