Brian Summers joined University of East Anglia as Registrar & Secretary in October 1999. He graduated from Exeter University in Chemistry and worked in many branches of administration in various local authorities prior to joining the then Kingston Polytechnic as Head of Personnel. He served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Oxford Polytechnic, subsequently Oxford Brookes University, for 16 years before moving to Norwich.
